Bmi goes Bavarian for Oktoberfest

Crew on bmi regional flights to Munich will be sporting traditional Bavarian dress this month as the airline celebrates Oktoberfest.

To mark the event, which starts this weekend and runs until October 3, many members of the airline's male crew will be wearing lederhosen and the women will be wearing dirndls, the traditional Bavarian dresses.

Crew will also be serving traditional Oktoberfest delicacies, such as heart shaped Lebkuchen, the local biscuits, and German beers.

Staff at the airline's car rental partner, Sixt, will also be sporting dirndls and lederhosen in the company's bright orange brand colour.

Oktoberfest is Germany's biggest annual beer festival, with 545 stalls selling everything from beers and wines to food and gifts.
