AWTE pays tribute to former chair

The Association of Women Travel Executives has announced the passing of its former chair, Audrey Chessell.

The association said Audrey was a honorary member and a long time supporter of the association

She joined the AWTE in 1971 when she worked for Austrian Airlines and held the role of chair on two occasions from 1981-1983 and then again from 1997-1999.

"Her contribution to the AWTE was greatly valued and she will be sadly missed by those who knew her," said the announcement.

"Our thoughts are with her friends and family at this sad time, may she rest in peace."
