EasyJet aircraft become in-flight grottos

EasyJet is operating in-flight grottos on flights out of the UK in the run-up to Christmas.

In total, 20,000 passengers will get to experience the new in-flight grottos on flights from the UK to France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Holland

Santa Claus was spotted at Gatwick on Tuesday morning for his pre-Christmas flight check at easyJet HQ before joining the first of 100 special flights that will operate grottos between now and Christmas Eve.

Cabin crew rigged the plane with hidden cameras to capture the reactions of passengers as Captain Claus' voice came over the tannoy and delivered presents to those on-board.

The film can be viewed on easyJet's Facebook page and other social media.

Head of cabin crew Tina Milton said: "We fly millions of people home or on holiday over the Christmas period and we want to get the festive feeling started on board.

"We have hired the world's most famous pilot to fly on over 100 selected flights and give over 20,000 passengers an incredible surprise."
