Escape the half-term ski crowds in Scandinavia

Half term is fast approaching and for families yet to book their ski trip, Ski Safari is recommending the little-known resort of Myrkdalen in Norway, which promises quieter slopes than many of the much busier Alpine resorts.

The operator features packages at the four-star Myrkdalen Hotel, which has its own pizza restaurant and a playroom to keep children entertained.

It says the family-friendly resort is suitable for a wide range of skier, including dedicated slopes for children, plenty of easy blue pistes and lots of off-piste opportunities.

A seven-night package costs from £1,035 per person for a family room sleeping four and includes flights, transfers and breakfasts.
