Birmingham Airport becomes GTMC partner

Birmingham Airport has become the latest industry partner for the GTMC.
It will be the first UK airport outside London to join the trade association, whose members account for over 90% of UK expenditure on managed business travel.
GTMC chief executive Adrian Parkes said: "Given the clear correlation between air connectivity and economic growth, we are therefore delighted to introduce Birmingham Airport to our high-profile group of industry partners. We look forward to our combined force strengthening our calls for greater investment in the UK's transport infrastructure to further enable international business travel."
William Pearson, aviation director Birmingham Airport, said: "As we enter a busy winter period, we're delighted to be in a position to increase our business exposure by partnering with the GTMC.

"We hope our new relationship will highlight the Midlands' strong economy and how our ongoing investment ensures we meet the needs of the almost 13 million passengers who fly internationally from Birmingham every year."
