Airlines for Europe appoints new communications chief

Jennifer Janzen has joined European airline lobbying group, Airlines for Europe (A4E), to head up its internal and external communications.

Based in Brussels, she replaces Aage Duenhaupt, who has held the position since the launch of A4E in 2016.

He has left to take a new role at TUI as head of communications & PR Aviation/TUI Airlines and director communications at TUIfly in Germany.

Janzen, originally from New Jersey, US, previously worked in a variety of marketing communications and media relations management roles, most recently as a campaign lead marketing at Star Alliance.

Before that she was communications manager and spokesperson for the Lufthansa Group in North America.

Thomas Reynaert, A4E managing director, said "Since its establishment, Aage has played a crucial role in not only founding A4E - but helping us to achieve considerable success. For this, I am grateful and wish him all the best in his new role."
