Over 20 per cent of people now prefer adventure over relaxation on their annual holiday, according to new research from online firm carrentals.co.uk. The company surveyed over 1,000 people and discovered that women are most adventurous, with 1 in 4 craving some sort of action while they're away. Most people quizzed would like to try an activity such as 'storm chasing' or 'shark diving', while others would have a go at an extreme sport such as base jumping or mountain boarding. However, one in 10 said they would try a naturist holiday to add spice to their annual break, while six per cent voted to meet someone new through a speed dating holiday. Some 5 per cent even opted for a tour of lap dancing bars. Carrentals.co.uk chief operating officer Richard Game said: "A growing number of holidaymakers are no longer happy to spend two weeks lying on the beach. "With longer working hours, holiday time is increasingly precious, meaning people want to make the most of their time away."
