Japan Travel Centre adopts dynamic packaging

Japan Travel Centre in London - www.japantravelcentre.co.uk - is thought to be the first Japanese travel agency in the UK to adopt online dynamic packaging.

The company has brought in technology specialist GoQuo to supply dynamic packaging capability.

GoQuo's GQDynamic solution is central to JTC's decision to align its business model with the strong online presence of its owner, Japan Centre, by developing a website with full dynamic packaging capabilities as an alternative booking channel.

GoQuo will customise GQDynamic to JTC's needs and system, including connectivity to Amadeus.

The solution will enable website visitors to research and book flights, hotels and car hire from JTC's own extensive inventory sourced from Amadeus and other suppliers. The new site is expected to go live this month.

Japan Centre is a community-focused centre offering a range of shopping from food, books, info and travel consultancy. The Centre is visited by up to 35,000 people a week and most of the centre's products and services are also available online.

JTC managing director Roberta Scrace said: "It's all about planning for the future which will include educating our Japanese customers about using online travel, an activity where Europeans are far more comfortable and confident."
