Freedom Flights goes all-inclusive with fares
Comments: 2

Freedom Flights will quote its air fares inclusive of all taxes and charges from Friday.

Managing director Paul Moss said the move was in response to overwhelming requests from UK travel agents to have one price without all the add ons.

"I feel this now not only makes it simpler for us but far simpler for agents, especially those who are dynamically packaging, having an all inclusive flight price to work with.

"So, quite literally now, with Freedom Flights the fare you see is the fare you pay with no hidden extras".

Well done
I would like to express my appreciation for Pauls decision. I tailor make 95% of all my reservations and to have a company moving in the right direction of the price you see is the price you pay can only be good for the industry.

However whilst I appreciate the move can I also ask Paul that he confirm that they will be paying commission on the whole amount so that we know what the commission amount will be prior to confirmation. Having to guess at this element as has been the case with some other companies is frustrating when you are dynamic package your trips.

In this area Thomsons must be congratulated for paying commission the whole amount. In turn it has led me away from booking with its major competitor and flight only companies that are not so transparent.

At the request of Agents?
Are you sure that this isn't due to the OFT ruling stating that prices need to include all non-optional extras, and the fact that they'll be clamping down on this soon?!
