Indian Ocean air crash
Comments: 3

An Airbus 310 with 153 people on board has crashed in the Indian Ocean.

The Yemenia Air aircraft was flying from the Yemeni capital of Sanaa to Moroni, the capital of the Comoros archipelago.

According to BBC reports, Yemeni aviation officials have spotted some bodies and have located the wreckage of the plane.

It is not known whether there were any survivors or what caused the crash, but there were reports of bad weather in the area.

Most passengers had travelled to Sanaa from Paris or Marseille on a different aircraft. It is believed 66 of the passengers were French.

Earlier this month, an Air France Airbus 330 travelling from Rio de Janeiro to Paris crashed into the Atlantic, killing all 228 on board.

Boeings constructed using composites too!
So I take it you won't be flying the virtually all composite 787?? ;-)

Will the 787 ever eventuate?
Will we ever have the opportunity fly the 787 commercially Marcus? Boeing should change the name from Dreamliner to Mirage.

flaw in composite construction
I have read reports of the fin not being properly attached to the body properly causing it to break-off in turbulent weather rendering the aircraft uncontrollable.
I as a frequent flyer will not fly on airbus till the admit the flaw in manufacture and take decisive steps to strengthen the fin and attachment points using aluminium instead of composite materials on critical components and areas.
