A leading ski operator has warned that operators have slashed capacity following over-supply last winter which lead to last minute price cuts.
Esprit Ski has produced a “Crunch-Buster” special edition brochure with claimed savings of up to £1,500 for a family of four in an effort to encourage early sales.
The 20 different offers available range from free ski equipment hire for children, free child places and prices cuts of between £50 and £75 for adults.
Managing director Andy Perrin said: “Last winter, over-capacity across the market meant lots of late bargain holidays but for 2009-10 this trend is reversing completely.
“All the big companies have slashed capacity dramatically to avoid a repetition of last year’s pattern, and our new ‘Crunch-Buster’ initiatives are focussed on giving our early booking guests the best value and best savings.”
Princes lead in at £429 per adult for a week in a chalet in La Rosiere departing Stansted on December 13, including a £50 early booking discount. A family of four will pay £1,015 with one child aged two to four travelling free and a second aged five to ten on a 40% discount, according to the operator.
The price includes breakfast, afternoon tea, children’s high tea and adult evening meals with wine for six days.
