Ryanair will no longer accept a driver’s licence as a valid form of identification from October 1.

Instead, it is reminding passengers to bring their valid passport or a government issued National Identity card when travelling on all Ryanair flights.

It said passengers, who arrive at an airport without a valid form of identification, as advised and agreed to at the time of their booking, will not be able to travel.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:“Ryanair has moved to simplify our identification policy to avoid passenger confusion.”
