Visit the mesmerising Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada, before soaking up the natural wonders Utah has to offer, before returning to Las Vegas, discovering the awesomeness of the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, the USA's largest man-made lake, on the way back.

Las Vegas, Nevada


Begin your adventure in fabulous Las Vegas. You'll lose track of time along the Strip, where resorts with elaborate themes offer an array of options, innovative dining options from big-name chefs, variety shows and concerts starring legendary headliners. Check out The Forum Shops at Caesars or Via Bellagio for high-end shopping. Close by the Valley of Fire State Park features magnificent, 150-million-year-old sandstone formations and ancient petroglyphs

Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

Today, travel to Bryce Canyon, taking a scenic drive to acclimate yourself. Don't miss a hike to the natural Bryce Amphitheatre. This impressive landscape, below the Rim Trail hiking path, is filled with hoodoos, which are brightly coloured, tall, thin rock spires. Stay several days in the park so you can experience both sunrise and sunset, photographing the views from overlooks such as Bryce Point, or stay after dark to see the star-filled night sky.

Moab, Utah

Travel through Capitol Reef National Park, famous for its white sandstone domes and the towering monoliths of 'Cathedral Valley'. Arches National Park is the site of more than 2,000 natural arches, many accessible through a variety of hiking trails that accommodate all levels. Moab is at the confluence of the Colorado and Green rivers and is an epicentre of river rafting, so you may wish to stay longer and explore.

Zion Canyon National Park, Utah

Amongst other things, Zion National Park is famous for canyons, cascading waterfalls and rivers. Hike along the Virgin River to explore its waterfalls and hanging gardens, then through the water in the narrowest section of Zion Canyon, up to 1000 feet tall and 20-30 feet wide, a favourite for photographers due to its amazing light. See dramatic views from the Kolob Canyons Road, and, if you're lucky, some of the park's wildlife, such as mountain lions.

Lake Mead, Nevada

Returning to Las Vegas, explore Lake Mead National Recreation Area and the spectacular Hoover Dam with great hiking trails to the dam's base or natural hot springs and activities for all interests and ages.
