Acapulco hit by more flooding
The Mexican resort of Acapulco has been hit by more torrential rain less than two weeks after storms killed 139 people.
In fresh floods of more than 3ft, schools have been closed and communities in high-risk areas have been evacuated.
With further heavy rain expected, the government has issued renewed alerts for the rest of the state of Guerrero.
In the last storms, thousands of tourists were left stranded when Acapulco’s international airport closed.
It re-opened for commercial flights on Sunday, but yesterday one of the main access roads to the airport had to be closed.
