Advantage trials high-tech window displays
Eight Advantage agents are taking part in a six-month trial of a new high-tech way of displaying late deals in their windows.
The are replacing the standard window cards, which advertise last minute offers, with new LCD display screens providing up-to–the-minute late deals and eye-catching images.
The screens can be regularly and easily updated by agency staff to keep the offers fresh and up to date.
The eight pilot shops will trial different sized screens and combinations to determine what is the most effective.
Travel agencies will also be able to offset the cost of the technology and generate new revenue streams by inviting local and national businesses to advertise on the screens, such as companies offering airport car parking, chauffeur drive, sun cream and luggage.
Advantage sales and marketing director Colin O’Neill said: “This sophisticated package has been solely designed for the independent travel agent to attract customers off the streets and into the travel agencies.
“The plasma screens will look visually stunning and, at the same time, be able to be kept more up to date than the window cards”
