Agents urged to complete Oman training modules

The Sultanate of Oman is urging travel agents who are keen to participate in a luxury agent famil in November to complete the online training as soon as possible.

There is now less than one month to complete an interactive online training which can be found at http://oman.yourworkshops.com.au/travel/index.php?pxid=73.

It comprises eight modules over two workshops designed to showcase Oman and also offer trade partners the knowledge needed to better promote and sell each of Oman’s distinct regions.

With the ongoing development of the tourism infrastructure, the sultanate hopes to increase tourism’s share of gross domestic product (GDP) to three percent by 2020 from 2.4 per cent at present.

Oman is offering 40 travel agents the opportunity of a Side Trip of a Lifetime from November 4-13. Details at www.sidetripofalifetime.com.au.

Emirates are the airline sponsors of the trip.

"Every agent who passes all the Oman modules will be eligible for selection," said Mona Tannous, Oman Tourism manager Australia and New Zealand.
