Air Astana launches Paris flights
Fast growing Kazakhstan carrier Air Astana has launched a three times a week direct service from Astana to Paris Charles de Gaulle.
Operated by Boeing 757 aircraft featuring 16 business and 150 economy class seats, the service originates in Almaty without the need to change aircraft, and will become a key route as Air Astana looks to grow its European network, according to the airline’s president Peter Foster.
"The new service to Paris is a major step in developing Air Astana’s European network and serves to strengthen economic, diplomatic, cultural and tourism links between France and Kazakhstan," he said.
Flights depart in both directions on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and will feature the airline’s recently launched economy sleeper class, allowing passengers to stretch out across a row of three seats.
Passengers are accommodated in a separate cabin and are provided with a business class mattress, pillow and duvet, along with additional benefits including priority check-in and business lounge access.
Established in 2002, Air Astana currently operates a network of 64 international and domestic routes from hubs in Astana, Almaty and Atyrau.
