Amadeus announces new senior Sydney based appointments
Global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry Amadeus, today announced two key appointments which will further strengthen its airline business in the Australasia and Pacific region.
John Chapman, appointed as Regional Director Pacific, Amadeus Airline Business Group, based in Sydney, will take on strategic development and maintenance of business and partnerships with airline providers in the Pacific region, encompassing Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea and the South Pacific islands. In that capacity, he also oversees commercial operations, business development and marketing support for Amadeus’ Airline Business Group across the region.
With over ten years’ experience in marketing to airlines, with a strong success record in airline reservations services sales and commercial business operations, prior to joining Amadeus, John spent 15 years with Sabre Airline Solutions, based in Sydney, where he was responsible for building its airline hosting business in Asia Pacific. Before that, John held various senior positions in sales, account management and consulting within Sabre and American Airlines based in Dallas and London.
Erin Ganley, has been appointed Sydney based Account Manager, Australasia and South Pacific, Amadeus Airline Business Group, with Erin responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with Amadeus’ strategic airline clients on multiple layers and working with clients’ to maximize revenue generation through existing products and services, thus ensuring customers’ satisfaction.
Prior to joining Amadeus, Erin’s most recent role was as Account Manager with Navitaire and she was also the Principal Business Analyst for Australian Airlines for two years and worked with Qantas for more than 10 years in various positions, including Pricing Controller and Manager of Sales and Marketing Air Pacific Australia.
