Amadeus posts positive third quarter
Amadeus has increased its third quarter revenue and boosted market share.
The GDS is reporting a 7% increase in total revenue year-on-year to 481.1 million euros. It says this was aided by increasing travel volumes and the incorporation of German leisure bookings, consolidated since the end of 2002.
The GDS says it had a world market share in agency air bookings of 27.8% in the third quarter – a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.
Revenue from its non-GDS businesses, e-Travel, Airline IT Services and other businesses, was also up by 18.1% to 117 million euros. This was boosted by business from Qantas and British Airways.
