Andorra is to host in jut two weeks time the 2026 World Congress on Snow, Mountain and Wellness Tourism, with the parish of Ordino as the event host.

Ordino is the most northerly parish in the Principality of Andorra. It’s mostly the main area of Valira del Nord or Valira d’Ordino river valley and is home to the Sorteny National Park, the largest nature area of Andorra.

Ordino is a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO since 2020 and has been recognized in 2023 as Best Tourism Village by UN Tourism. The parish has a population of roughly 5,000 inhabitants.

The working sessions on 25 and 26 March will be held at the Andorra la Vella Congress Centre, and on 27 March a social and technical day will take place to discover and learn more about Ordino.

The 13th edition will focus on the transformation of mountain tourism in the context of changes driven by digitalization, artificial intelligence and new technologies, as well as the importance of emotional well-being and conscious disconnection in natural environments.

The congress will feature internationally renowned speakers specializing in sustainability, tourism innovation and well-being. Experts from UN Tourism, representatives from mountain destinations around the world and specialists in AI applied to tourism will share insights and experiences to help shape the future of the sector.

With this approach, Andorra reinforces its strategy to promote an innovative, sustainable and people-centered model of mountain tourism, consolidating its position as a global meeting point for the sector.
