Argentina showcases sustainable nature tourism
Argentina’s National Institute of Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR) attended World Travel Market to reconnect with the UK market.
Argentina continues to see tourism grow from the UK
Over the last six months the country received almost 50% of the number of tourists compared to 2019.
Since the start of the year Argentina has welcomed around 30,000 tourists from the UK.
Argentina tourism officials highlighted the country’s attractions including its 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, diverse scenic landscape sand gastronomy.
“The return of the British Airways direct flight from March 2023 shows the commitment of our key UK airline partner to boost visitor numbers,” Ricardo Sosa, Executive Secretary at INPROTUR, said.
For 2023, the focus is sustainable tourism and promoting the country’s natural landscapes.
At La Ruta Natural, travellers can now experience 17 different detailed tours around the country, including 150 nature destinations.
In the north of the country, there is a big focus on glamping in nature, with a new location of luxury glamping accommodation due to open nearby Iguazu Falls and Jujuy in 2023.
