Australian travel company collapses

Many Australians are out of pocket due to the collapse of travel company Traveldream.
The online travel firm shut down in late April leaving travel plans in in the air.
It has impacted dozens of flight, hotel, cruise and tour bookings.
Australians booked trips worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Some Aussie travellers were overseas only to find out there was no reservation for their hotel sty.
Australian media said the company had been experiencing financial difficulties in the months leading up to its collapse with staff being laid off.
The company was registered as Australian Travel Deals Pty Ltd, and traded under the brand name Traveldream.
The administrator says about 100 people have been affected and the company’s debts could be more than A$1 million with ‘no available tangible assets.’
