BA said to be launching ‘dine when you like’

British Airways is reportedly introducing a ‘dine when you like’ option when it launches its new Club World cabin.

According to a memo seen by Head for Points, the frequent-flyer website, all Club World cabin crew are being called in for a two-day training session on new Club World.

Central to the changes is a new role of ‘Club World galley lead’, to oversee a new ‘dine when you like’ service.

The report says that, in order to ensure adequate cover during the training, the airline is temporarily increasing the number of ‘back-to-back’ trips crew may be asked to undertake from two to three in any 56-day period.

It is asking Club World-certified Mixed Fleet and Worldwide crew to work together on the same aircraft.

In a statement, BA said: "We are always reviewing the service for our customers but we don’t comment on rumour or speculation."
