Bhutan Airlines plans new UAE flight route
Bhutan Airlines plans to launch new Sharjah flights to the UAE from Bhutan.
Bhutan Airlines (Tashi Air Ltd.) is the first private airline in Bhutan.
It revealed plans to launch departures from Paro International Airport to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates from January 2024.
It made the announcement during the airline’s 10th-anniversary celebration in Thimphu.
This will mark the first direct air link between the Gulf region and Bhutan post-pandemic.
Bhutan Airlines has applied to operate bi-weekly Sharjah flights, with a layover in Dhaka.
During the event, Bhutan Airlines also announced a new partnership with GDS sub-hosting service World Ticket.
This virtual code-share arrangement offers a global distribution and ticketing solution for Bhutan Airlines flights to be easily accessible to the trade and OTAs.
The partnership is effective immediately.
In June Bhutan Airlines’ inked a bilateral interline ticketing agreement with Thai Airways.
