BrewDog launching world’s first craft beer airline
With in-flight air rage incidents fueled by excessive booze now common in the friendly skies, alcohol and long haul air travel oftentimes don’t mix well.
However Scotland based craft brewery BrewDog thinks otherwise and plans to prove it by launching its own charter flights.
‘BrewDog Airlines’ is taking flight across the pond to Columbus, Ohio on a four night beer themed vacation.
It is chartering a Boeing 767 aircraft for the BrewDog Airlines experience, which includes tasting of ‘a brand new beer designed to taste better at altitude.’
"We’ve redesigned the flight experience for optimum beer enjoyment – from the food, to the entertainment, the cabin crew and most of all, the specially brewed high-altitude beer," said BrewDog co-founder James Watt.
The trip departs London Stansted Airport on February 21, 2019 to Columbus where beer lovers will stay in The DogHouse Hotel and tour BrewDog’s brewery and beer museum.
Guests will tour other local breweries, bars and restaurants during the stay and take a day trip for more beer themed activities in Cincinnati.
"We’re on a mission to open minds and excite people about what craft beer is and can be," Watt added.
