British Airways and Porter Airlines with new codeshare agreement

British Airways and Canadian carrier Porter Airlines have announced a new codeshare agreement, giving British Airways customers seamless access to selected Porter Airlines domestic routes across Canada.

The partnership allows British Airways customers to book flights to 17 Canadian destinations, including Ottawa, Edmonton and Winnipeg, with connections from the British Airways network via Toronto or Montreal when traveling to or from London. The agreement significantly expands the airline’s domestic Canadian network and provides travelers with more routing options.

Members of the British Airways Club will also be able to earn Avios and Tier Points on eligible Porter Airlines flights, creating additional opportunities to unlock loyalty benefits while traveling within Canada.

Porter Airlines, headquartered in Toronto, serves more than 40 destinations across North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The carrier has built a reputation over the past 20 years for its award-winning customer service and operates a modern fleet of aircraft. Its signature “Elevated Economy” experience includes complimentary beverages served in real glassware, premium snacks, two-by-two seating with no middle seats, and free high-speed streaming Wi-Fi.

Under the new agreement, all 17 Canadian destinations served by Porter Airlines will be available for booking under a British Airways flight code on ba.com. Customers will be able to book their entire journey in a single transaction, making travel planning easier while opening up more opportunities to explore Canada.

Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways, said: “We are delighted to launch this codeshare with Porter Airlines, meaning British Airways customers can now book flights on Porter Airlines’ network with convenience and ease. This agreement makes travel between London and Canada even easier, offering more options and flexibility.

Edmond Eldebs, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Porter Airlines, added: “This codeshare agreement reflects our shared commitment to making travel seamless and enjoyable. More travelers have the opportunity to discover more of Canada the Porter way, with elevated service and comfort that we’re known for. We look forward to a strong and growing partnership.

Codeshare flights with Porter Airlines are available to book for travel beginning July 8.
