Carnival Cruise ships to call at Princess Cruises’ private island

Saturday, 11 Jan, 2017 0
From May 2017, Carnival Cruise ships will begin making calls at Princess Cruises’ Bahamas private island.

Six Carnival ships, Carnival Pride, Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Elation, Carnival Liberty and Carnival Sensation will stop at Princess Cays.

During 2017 40 calls are scheduled at the 40-acre island and that will more than double in 2018.

It is the first time for Carnival ships since Princess Cays was established 25 years ago.

Located on the southern tip of Eleuthera in The Bahamas, it features sandy beaches, an observation tower providing views of the island, private bungalows for rent, bars, restaurants and retail shops.

Visiting guests are treated to a free barbeque lunch during calls.

"At Carnival, we’re always looking for new and exciting destinations for our guests and Princess Cays is a beautiful island paradise with gorgeous beaches and an array of ‘fun-in-the-sun’ activities that our guests will really enjoy experiencing on their vacation,"  said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
