Cartoon Network theme park coming to Bali
Indonesian holiday island Bali is to get its first international branded theme park.
A Cartoon Network park is coming to Bali’s Nusa Dua resort area after Turner Asia Pacific agreed a licensing partnership with Indonesia’s MAJ Group.
The 4.3-hectare park will anchor The MAJ Group’s Nusa Dua resort complex which will also feature hotels and a golf course.
Cartoon Network Bali will have the largest aqua park on the island and an indoor entertainment complex.
It will have the usual themed attractions and entertainment showcasing characters such as Ben 10 and the Powerpuff Girls.
"Turner and The MAJ Group share the same vision of creating the ultimate family destination in Indonesia, and the entertainment park will combine world-class design with unparalleled Balinese hospitality," said Ricky Ow, president of Turner Asia Pacific.
It is slated to begin operations in 2020.
The aqua park will include several water rides as well as surf and wave pools.
Gita Wirjawan, Chairman of The MAJ Group, said: "We are proud to be Turner’s partner of choice in bringing the Cartoon Network experience to Bali and game-changing the entertainment industry landscape in Indonesia."
