Cathay Pacific has launched its early bird fares to Europe in both Economy and its new Premium Economy class.

Fares start from AUD1,646 from Melbourne to Rome in Economy and AUD3,200 from Sydney to Paris in Premium Economy.

On sale from September 13 to December 31, flights are available from all Australian ports to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Frankfurt, Rome and Moscow for departures from April 1, 2013 to October 31, 2013.

Cathay says its new Economy seats offer more legroom, more living and personal storage space as well as high-resolution 9-inch personal televisions with a touch screen.

A USB outlet and an iPod/iPhone outlet also allow passengers to connect their own mobile devices to view content through the personal television.

Cathay Pacific’s new Premium Economy includes special check-in facilities, priority boarding and an extra luggage allowance.

There is extra legroom and a seat pitch of 38 inches – six more inches than Economy, an enhanced meal selection, 10.6-inch personal television, an in-seat power outlet and a multi-port connector for personal devices.
