Celebrity Cruises reports strong demand for UK staycations at sea
Celebrity Cruises says it has seen ‘extraordinary demand’ for its UK coastal cruises this summer.
Cruises on Celebrity Silhouette have been selling extremely well with high demand for upper suite categories.
Sailing out of Southampton from 3 July, Celebrity Silhouette’s first itineraries have been popular as travellers are eager for a return to holidays at sea.
Also trending heavily this summer are the ship’s Kelly Hoppen-designed suites and private sanctuary.
Jo Rzymowska, Vice President & Managing Director EMEA, Celebrity Cruises said: "We’ve seen extraordinary demand so far for bookings, particularly our first cruises out of Southampton, as holidaymakers are just as keen for a return to cruising as we are."
"With additional summer sailings opening on Silhouette from 12 April, there is even more choice for our British guests this summer."
Celebrity Cruises has seen big support from travel partners, crediting the opportunity to pre-register customer interest.
Incentives to support agents in selling the cruises include £20 Celebrity Rewards points on every booking, a dedicated marketing toolkit on Celebrity Silhouette, available on Celebrity Central, and double Captain’s Club loyalty points for guests.
Celebrity Silhouette offers a series of six- to eight-night itineraries around Britain’s coastline.
It includes the Jurassic Coastline from Portland, the Scottish Highlands, Belfast and Liverpool.
The cruises are part of the ‘Always ‘Included’ policy with inclusive Wi-Fi, drinks and service charges.
In addition, the company’s ‘Cruise with Confidence” programme’ offers a flexible cancellation policy and best price guarantees.’¯
