Changi Airport unveils new ‘lifestyle’ complex
Changi Airport’s new shopping, dining and accommodation complex will open next week.
Jewel, being touted as a ‘one-of-a-kind lifestyle destination’, officially opens on April 17 after more than four years in development.
It boasts the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, sponsored by HSBC, which will surrounded by the manicured grounds of an indoor forest, sponsored by skincare company Shiseido.
Family-friendly attractions, including sky nets, a maze and slides, are due to open in June.
Jewel will also house Asia’s first YOTELAIR offering 130 cabins with self check-in kiosks that can be booked for a minimum of four hours aimed at short daytime layovers or overnight stays.
Directly connected to Terminals 1, 2 and 3, Jewel will offer a baggage storage service and early check-in counters and kiosks.
Changi Airport’s Terminal 1 has also been expanded to increase capacity by another 3 million passenger movements a year, bringing the airport’s total capacity to 85 million.
