Club Med has become the latest travel brand to tap virtual reality tech to make vacation planning more immersive.
The international resort operator has launched 360-degree virtual reality tours of four of its resorts including the Maldives and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
Footage shows activities such as snorkeling and flying on the trapeze, and accommodation interiors.
VR tours of Club Med Cancun Yucatan, Club Med Val Thorens in France and Club Med Sanya, China will then be rolled out next.
"As we continually innovate to modernize the in-demand all-inclusive travel segment, technology plays a big role in how we communicate with our guests at all stages of the customer journey," said Sabrina Cendral, vice president of digital and marketing for North America.
"From our new virtual tours and resort app to digital maps and live stream hangouts, we’re committed to providing our guests with a contemporary vacation experience affording them a truly relaxing Escape à la Club Med."
The company also unveiled a resort app which offers comprehensive resort information, restaurant and spa hours of service, and activity schedules.
It also has a chat function for guests to communicate in resort.
Further enhancements planned for the app include the ability to make spa and restaurant reservations.
The app will be introduced to 50 resorts by the end of 2016, Club Med said.
