Cunard Bali cruise call denied due to Covid outbreak
Port authorities denied a Bali cruise call by Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth due to Covid infections.
Queen Elizabeth was forced to skip the Bali cruise call and recently docked in Freemantle, Australia.
Cunard said: “We’re unable to visit Indonesia following conversations with the respective authorities in Bali.”
“We understand and respect the current circumstances we’re operating in.”
Cunard hasn’t stated how many cases but informed WA health officials of a 10-15% positive rate.
That would suggest cases in the hundreds.
Several ships had large outbreaks of Covid while sailing Australian waters.
Western Australia recorded over 10,000 Covid cases in the last week.
