Disney bans smoking in US theme parks
Walt Disney Co has updated certain guest policies with smoking banned inside US theme parks.
Taking effect on May 1, visitors to Disney World and Disneyland will no longer be able to light up inside parks.
The current designated smoking areas will go but smokers can get their nicotine fix at areas located outside the entrances.
"Smoking areas will no longer be present inside Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme parks, water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex or Downtown Disney District in California," Disney said.
Smoking areas are available at most Disney Resort hotels.
As well as the smoking ban, oversized prams are being outlawed at parks.
Disney has set a size limit of 31 inches wide and 52 inches long.
This will help ease congestion, the company says.
"The good news – many strollers on the market, including many double jogging strollers, fit within these size guidelines," Disney said in a blog post announcing the changes.
