EasyJet confirms Next boss to lead airline
EasyJet has confirmed City rumours that Next boss John Barton will replace Mike Rake as chairman of the airline on May 1.
Barton, aged 68, has chaired the fashion retailer since 2006. He is also chairman of insurance group Catlin. Previously he chaired Brit Insurance, Cable & Wireless Worldwide and Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
Sir Mike is standing down after three years, having steered easyJet into the FTSE 100 last month.
