EasyJet launches Scandinavian Mountains winter ski flights
EasyJet recently launched its inaugural flight to the Scandinavian Mountains from London Gatwick.
The Saturday weekly flight will continue to operate throughout the winter season.
EasyJet is the only scheduled carrier to operate the route from the UK.
Sweden’s Scandinavian Mountains Airport sits on the border with Norway and offers an extensive array of winter activities.
The region has some of Europe’s finest skiing and snowboarding, with seven nearby resorts and over 260 groomed slopes suitable for all skill levels.
Beyond the slopes and trails, the Scandinavian Mountains area offers opportunity to explore Nordic cuisine, or visit the many spas and wellness centres.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “We are really pleased to be celebrating our inaugural flight to Scandinavian Mountains.”
“As the largest airline in Gatwick, we continue to offer our customers greater choice and exceptional value across our unrivalled short-haul network.”
EasyJet has carried over 250 million passengers to and from the airport since launching in 1999
Gunnar Lenman, CEO of Scandinavian Airport, said: “This arrival marks a significant milestone for our region, making our winter destinations more accessible than ever for international visitors.’
