Emirates doubling daily A380 service to Perth

Saturday, 18 Jan, 2016 0

Emirates is adding a second A380 superjumbo service on its Dubai-Perth route.

The 519-seat A380 will replace the current Boeing 777 aircraft on August 1, increasing capacity on the route to 14,000 seats per week.

Emirates was the first airline to bring A380 services to Perth in May last year.

Australia is one of the largest A380 markets in Emirates’ network and when it goes double daily from Perth, the superjumbo will account for seven of the airline’s 11 daily flights between Dubai and Australia.

"Introducing our flagship A380 aircraft onto a second daily Perth service reaffirms our long standing commitment to Australia. With more A380s on order, we look forward to continue utilising this highly popular aircraft to serve customer and capacity demand on key routes," said Thierry Antinori, chief commercial officer, Emirates.

Emirates already offers a double daily A380 service to Sydney and is adding a second on the Melbourne route in March.

Emirates’ A380 offers three-class service with First Class Private Suites, 76 lie-flat beds in Business Class and 429 seats in Economy.
