Africa Travel Connect (ATC) has welcomed the Ethiopian Tourism Authority as the newest official member country.
This partnership was formalised this month during a signing ceremony attended by the Ambassador of Ethiopia to the UK.
The agreement was signed by Ethiopia’s UK delegation, representing the Ethiopian Tourism Authority, committing to tourism-led economic development.
“This is a symbol of Ethiopia’s readiness to lead and contribute to the transformation of Africa’s tourism narrative,” said Yared Bizuneh, Founder of Africa Travel Connect.
The partnership highlights Ethiopia’s leadership in cultural heritage, eco-tourism, and adventure travel and the importance of pan-African tourism alliances.
Additionally, it reaffirms the role of ATC in creating a collaborative platform for African countries to work together.
“This agreement with Africa Travel Connect reflects our shared vision for a thriving, connected, and fairly represented African tourism sector,” the Ethiopian Tourism Authority said.
Launched in early 2024, Africa Travel Connect brings together national tourism boards, hospitality leaders, media, and other stakeholders for the betterment of African tourism on the global stage.
