FAA investigating pilot’s F-bomb outburst
The Federal Aviation Administration has decided to investigate a Southwest Airlines pilot caught on a hot mic in the cockpit ranting about Northern California ‘liberals,’ as he prepared to take off from San Jose. Littered with F-bombs, the diatribe called out North Ca;ifornians as ‘Goddamn liberal f—-,’ and "F—— weirdos.’
The FAA reported the incident to the airline which is dealing with it internally. Now federal safety officials have opened an investigation.
"FAA regulations prohibit airline pilots from talking about subjects that are unrelated to safely conducting their flight while taxiing and while flying below 10,000 feet altitude," said FAA spokesman Ian Gregor.
