Fiji resort to rebrand as DoubleTree by Hilton
Hilton Worldwide has announced it is taking over Sonaisali Island in Fiji, debuting its DoubleTree by Hilton brand in the country.
"We are proud to be flying the DoubleTree by Hilton flag in yet another exciting market – truly exemplifying the strength and momentum of the brand on an international scale," said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.
"Guests at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji – Sonaisali Island will be welcomed by the familiar warm hospitality and service that is consistent with the DoubleTree by Hilton properties currently operating globally."
The resort is situated around 30 minutes from Nadi airport and will feature 123 rooms overlooking the South Pacific Ocean, a swimming pool, restaurants and meetings space.
The property is currently known as Sonaisali Island Resort and is owned by the Vision Group Fiji.
A major conversion is being undertaken and it is scheduled to reopen as a DoubleTree Resort in early 2015.
DoubleTree by Hilton is Hilton’s fastest growing full service brand, and currently has 380 properties in 33 countries.
