First-ever trans-Serengeti expedition by hot air balloon
Aardvark Safaris is offering a unique, first ever balloon safari crossing the Serengeti National Park.
In partnership with Serengeti Balloon Safaris and Wayo Africa Fly Camps, the six-day African safari adventure takes to the skies each day to traverse the Serengeti.
It takes place from 1 to 7 November 2023.
Starting and ending in Arusha, it includes four nights fly-camping in star cocoon tents.
Each morning, guests will be flown by hot air balloon to a brand-new wilderness spot.
They can explore the area with both fully escorted walking safaris and traditional wildlife drives.
Highlights include panoramic views while flying up to 2,000ft above the Serengeti as well as close-up wildlife encounters while flying at grass level.
Guests have the opportunity for hands-on work with the de-snaring team from Frankfurt Zoological Society, in the cheetah rich area of the Gol Kopjes.
The balloon also lands on the Eastern shores of Lake Victoria.
Serengeti Balloon Safaris is the oldest hot air balloon safari company in Tanzania.
It has flown over 250,000 guests in its 30+ years of operating.
The experience is bookable through Aardvark Safaris from £7,995/$10,155 per person, based on two sharing.
Price includes all transfers, full board fly-camping, two nights B&B, safaris, guided activities and more.
