Foreign Office issues Egypt warning
The Foreign Office is warning holidaymakers to Egypt of large demonstrations planned in the capital Cairo and the port city of Alexandria today.
Hundreds of people had already gathered in Cairp's Tahrir Square this morning ahead of a planned rally to urge the country's interim government to speed up political reform.
Many Egyptians are angry at the slow pace of change since President Hosni Mubarak resigned in February following weeks of protests.
The Foreign Office says visitors should avoid the gatherings and observe advice given by local security officials.
