Former SeaWorld boss named as new HAL president
Carnival Corp. has announced Gus Antorcha as new president of Holland America Line.
Antorcha takes over from Orlando Ashford, who stepped down recently.
Antorcha joined Carnival a decade ago and had a short lived tenure as CEO of SeaWorld Entertainment last year.
He returned to Carnival after leaving SeaWorld.
Antorcha was previously COO for Carnival Cruise Line.
Antorcha reports to Stein Kruse, group CEO of Holland America Group and Carnival UK.
"These are unprecedented times, and his wisdom and competent judgement will ensure Holland America Line’s long-term success," Kruse said.
The company also said Neil Palomba, who is currently president of Costa Cruises, will take over as EVP and COO of Carnival Cruise Line.
"Gus and Neil are both proven and strategic leaders within our organization, and we are looking forward to their contributions and success in these new roles," said Carnival Corp. CEO president and CEO, Arnold Donald.
