Fred. Olsen Travel launch new Umbraco website

Monday, 30 Mar, 2016 0
CSI Media, in conjunction with UK Tour Operator Fred.Holidays are proud to announce the launch of www.freddiscover.co.uk, a website created to provide even the most discerning traveller with an adventure of a lifetime. The website aims to give Fred.Holidays a platform to express the fresh new look and feel of the unique holidays that they now offer.

The E-Commerce Manager of Fred Olsen Travel, Shane Williams said: "The team at CSI Media have excelled in understanding and interpreting the comprehensive brief that underpins the development of www.freddiscover.co.uk.  From the initial meeting with the company’s Business Director, Richard Nash, through to the design, development and training with Craig Guest and Matt Parrott; I’ve always felt confident in their understanding, knowledge, skill and support infrastructure in delivering a quality product. The experience and imagery-lead concept that CSI Media have created for us is exactly what we were looking for. It means that travellers will be even more inspired to take an African safari, climb Mount Everest or browse our Colorado ranch holidays for a really wild adventure. This is the first of many websites, as we make our transition from renting web-technologies to investing into a web-development of our own."

The new website was built using a highly customised version of the Umbraco content management system (CMS) specifically for the travel sector. The customised version of the software allows the client to make all the adjustments to their website themselves, whilst being integrated with some of the best known specialist travel suppliers.

The solution also allows the Fred.Holidays merchandising team to make more complicated changes which would normally require a developer to make thus providing the marketing team more control over the site. The CMS also makes it very simple to manage onsite SEO making it easier for the team to boost the sites natural search rankings. In essence the end solution is helping to save time and money by putting the control in Fred.Holidays hands.

CSI Media are a highly rated RAR and Drum digital agency based in Cheshire. They are now Umbraco and Sitecore certified and have a team of over 30 people in their digital team, all experienced with different areas of the travel sector. They have recently built a number of new travel based technology products for a variety of sectors including Flight, Tour Operator, Dynamic Packaging, Tailor Made and membership reward based systems.

CSI Media can also provide full marketing services specifically aimed at the online sector. The services offered include SEO advice, PPC Reviews, email campaigns, print, design and app development.
