Glasgow runway has re-opened
Glasgow Airport was forced to close briefly this morning due to heavy overnight snowfall during one of the coldest nights of the year, forcing several flights to divert to Edinburgh.
Some shorthaul flights were also cancelled during the 50-minute runway closure.
However, the airport has since reopened after the runway was cleared of snow, and operations are returning to normal.
The airport sent a tweet saying that its winter operations team would remain on standby to monitor conditions.
