Hawaii welcomes back first big cruise ship
Hawaii welcomed the first large cruise ship in two years, arriving with several Covid-19 cases onboard. Grand Princess arrived in Honolulu with multiple positive cases in isolation. A state official said the positive passengers remained on the ship.
All arriving cruise passengers are subject to the state’s Safe Travels program and must present a negative test or proof of vaccination to come ashore. Under Hawaii’s latest port agreement, at least 99% of cruise ship passengers must be vaccinated against Covid, which is stricter than the CDC’s vaccination threshold.
