Hoseasons upgrades online booking capability
Self-catering specialist Hoseasons is to offer booking access to low cost airlines to match its expansion into the Continent.
The operator is to use the Find and Book search and booking system from leisure travel technology supplier Multicom.
The system will be integrated into Hoseasons’ websites to enable customers to book travel and accommodation in Europe at the same time.
The deal has been prompted by the company’s expansion into Europe with new Scandinavian and Mediterranean destinations which will benefit from the decision to make low-cost airlines bookable through www.hoseasons.com and www.hoseasonsvillas.com.
Hoseasons will also be using Find and Book within its call-centre enabling staff to take bookings and feed details into the operator’s reservation system and back-office management system.
Chief executive Richard Carrick said: “Customers traditionally would have booked a ferry and jumped in the car but now the low-cost airlines provide a cost effective alternative for customers who prefer not to spend one or two days driving to their destination in mainland Europe. It makes a family football holiday to Germany in June both easily affordable and easy to book online.”
Multicom general manager Chris Nourse said: “The Find and Book system is ideal for Hoseasons which is making sure it retains its competitive edge by taking advantage of the trend in booking low-cost airlines.”
