InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a deal with hotel booking agency Hotelzon to become its preferred partner.
IHG will take on Hotelzon’s system integration service which means the hotel giant will get access to thousands more corporate and travel agency customers. In turn, instead of using traditional booking tools, Hotelzon will have direct access to IHG’s inventory.
The deal will also see reduced booking costs for IHG, a fully automated process between the customer and the hotel, electronic invoicing, prepayments and paperless booking.
A further bonus is that live booking will speed up the transaction, reducing the manual process for the hotels.
Hotelzon chief executive officer Jani Kaskinen said: “This is fantastic news to have IHG come on board. The brand’s reservations system will see an immediate benefit from the partnership and will save hotels significant money by cutting out the middle man. This deal is testament to the recognition of the status Hotelzon has developed within the industry.”
