HX announces fly-cruise partnership with Air Greenland

Saturday, 21 Jun, 2024 0

Expedition cruise line HX (Hurtigruten Expeditions) just announced a strategic partnership with Air Greenland.

This is the first of its kind partnership for the cruise line.

From 2025, HX will fly guests directly into the capital, Nuuk, debuting three new ‘Grand Greenland‘ itineraries aboard the hybrid-battery-powered MS Fridtjof Nansen.

The voyages will spend more time on the destination’s west coast and explore further north than ever before.

This includes a voyage to Thule and Kane Basin, exploring the northern limit of the world.

Guests will take Air Greenland flights from convenient hubs, including Copenhagen.

Also, as part of the tie-up, HX guests will have the opportunity for new pre- and post-cruise programmes.

These include stays at waterfront lodges in Ilimanaq, and participating unique local activities, such as fishing trips in Nuuk.

“Greenland’s breathtaking landscapes and resilient people inspire us daily at HX. We are committed to contributing to Greenland’s sustainable growth,” said HX CEO, Daniel Skjeldam.

“We are honoured to partner with Air Greenland in a way that promotes sustainability.”
