IAG renews interest in Air Europa bid
British Airways parent International Airlines Group (IAG) is still keen on Air Europa.
After an aborted takeover, IAG will now give Air Europa parent Globalia a €100 million loan . It has an option to convert the loan into a stake of up to 20%.
The agreement also offers a one-year exclusivity period to possibly work out a new deal.
IAG was due to buy Air Europa in late 2019.A revised cut-price deal was agreed but eventually fell through partly due to the pandemic.
